Suzana Queiroga

She is a visual artist, researcher and Portuguese-Brazilian teacher. She has a degree in Printmaking from the School of Fine Arts of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a master’s degree in Visual Arts from the same institution. She was a professor at the School of Visual Arts in Rio de Janeiro from 1985 to 2019. She is a doctoral student in Histories of Technical Sciences and Epistemologies at UFRJ.

Active since the 1980s, Suzana Queiroga works with a wide variety of media, including videos, performances, installations, inflatables, paintings, drawings and sculptures. Her poetics cross the issues of flow, time and the infinite. In his large-scale works, the experience of expanding the senses can generate spaces for collective immersion. Her work has been presented internationally and has won several awards, in Brazil and Portugal.
